RunPee: Movie Goer’s Cue to run to the loo

by Felicia

Movies of this year and age has transcended from the limited hour and a half to a full three hour long movie. It’s great for the experience and the story telling — detailed and precise. But what if I need to pee?!, said the girl who drank half of the coke she bought before the movie. Adding on to that, the cold cinema does not help those with a small bladder.

Fret not, for RunPee app is here to save the day. RunPee is an app that tells you when to run off for a quick tinkle during an insignificant moment in the movie. The app is most practical to movie goers at the cinema who has no control over pausing or rewinding the movie.

How does it work?

RunPee lists out the recommended pee time during the movie as well as the estimated length you can be away. It is completed with the line to look out for in the movie as a cue for pee time. It doesn’t spoil the storyline, as it will only provide a detailed synopsis of what you have missed while you run to the loo.

An easier alternative to memorising the line as a cue to pee, RunPee has a Timer where you get a vibration alert for each Peetime. It syncs with real-time movie by telling you to start the timer when a certain logo appears or fades out.

The app also provides a 3 minute synopsis for when you are running late for the movie.

Although RunPee is focused more on the convenience during movie watching in the cinema and is up-to-date to movies currently showing in the cinemas, it also has a long list of old movies to choose from.

By any chance, you are watching an old movie in the cinema, RunPee will have it as well.

Besides that, the app also provides a 3D poll that tells you if the movie is worth watching in 3D, review websites such as IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes.

So, don’t hold that bladder any longer, tinkle when you have the signal.
